LRS employees field telephone calls and Internet requests for attorneys. After obtaining information regarding the client's legal issue, staff contact LRS attorneys who practice in the applicable area of law and then set a half-hour appointment for the client to meet with the attorney. Clients who request reduced fee or pro bono legal help are referred to Legal Services of Northern Virginia. Staff also direct clients to other governmental, consumer and social service agencies, as needed. Staff initiate, track and maintain control of credit card payments/reports and attorney remittances and perform other general office and computer duties.
