FBA Seeks Applications for ABA Delegate
The Fairfax Bar Association is accepting applications to serve as our representative in the American Bar Association's House of Delegates. The position will take effect immediately and expire in August of 2010.
The FBA's ABA Delegate must be able to attend the following Delegate meetings (exact dates to follow). Additionally, the ABA Delegate is required to complete a written report for the FBA Journal, and attend the next regularly scheduled meeting of the FBA Board after the ABA meeting to report on ABA Activities.

Please note, at their 1990 and 1995 Annual Meetings, the ABA House of Delegates approved resolutions which strongly urge all organizations represented in the House of Delegates to take affirmative steps to appoint delegates who represent geographic, ethinic, minority, gender, and sexual orientation diversity and delegates with disabilities.
The FBA Board will meet on May 20, 2008 to select a delegate. Those interested in serving as the FBA's representative to the ABA House of Delegates should e-mail a statement of interest and qualifications to FBA Executive Director Yvonne C. McGhee at ymcghee@fairfaxbar.org or fax to 703-273-1274. All applications must be received no later than 4:00 PM on May 16, 2008.
