Investiture Ceremony for the Hon. Michael F. Devine
The ceremony was held on Friday, June 11, 2010 and included  remarks by Todd G. Petit, Esq., Public Defender for Fairfax County, and James G. Connell, III, Esq., Connell, Sheldon & Flood, P.L.C.

Annual Meeting 2010
The Annual Meeting was held on June 9, 2010 at Maggiano's Little Italy and included the presentation of the Hon. Arnold B. Kassabian Award, President's Awards, and the passing of the gavel to the 2010-2011 FBA Present.

Investiture Ceremony for the Hon. Brett A. Kassabian
The ceremony was held on Friday, May 21, 2010 and included  remarks by the Hon. Robert F. Horan, Jr., Commonwealth Attorney (1967-2007) and Albert I. Kassabian, Esq.

 Spring Golf Tournament 2010
The FBA held its 10th Annual Spring Golf Tournament at Westfields Golf Club on Monday, May 11, 2010. This year's tournament was held in memory of Edward J. Walinsky.

Run for Justice 5K
The first Run for Justice 5K was held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 in Tysons Corner, which benefited the Fairfax Law Foundation.  About 250 runners raced in the event. The race results (posted by Pacers Running Stores) can be found here.  A special thanks to our sponsors - a full list is on this PDF.

Annual Law Day Weiner Roast
The Law Day Weiner Roast was once again held on May 1, 2010 at Weiner, Rohrstaff & Spivey, PLC.  There was music, a proclamation by US Congressman Gerry Connolly, and of course, lots of hot dogs.  

Portrait Presentations and Law Library Reception
Portrait presentations of the Hon. Gaylord L. Finch, Jr. (Ret.), and the Hon. Michael P. McWeeny (Ret.) were held on April 30, 2010.  A reception in the Fairfax Public Law Library was held after the presentations.

Investiture Ceremony for the Hon. Lorraine Nordlund
The ceremony was held on Friday, April 23, 2010 and included opening remarks by George L. Barker, Senate of Virginia, and remarks from Grayson P. Hanes, Esq., Stephen K. Fox, Esq., Lesli Weber Hoffman, Esq., and Gary V. Davis, Esq.

Young Lawyers Section Breakfast with the Judges
The Young Lawyers Section held a breakfast with the judges on April 14, 2010.

Celebrating Diversity in the Law 2010
The Celebrating Diversity in Law event was held on April 9, 2010 and was  hosted by George Mason University School of Law in conjunction with the Moot Court Board, Alexandria Bar Association, Fairfax Bar Association, National Association of Women Judges and the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association.

Annual Bench Bar Dinner Dance 
The Annual Bench Bar Dinner Dance was held on March 6, 2010 at the Fairview Park Marriott.

Fairfax Law Foundation: Capital Campaign Night of Thanks
The Fairfax Law Foundation held a "Night of Thanks" to recognize those who have been champions of the Capital Campaign.  The reception was held at the office of Cameron McEvoy.

State of the Judiciary Luncheon 
The Annual State of the Judiciary Membership Luncheon was held on December 1, 2009 at the Country Club of Fairfax.

Vegas Not Business as Usual: FBA Convention 2009
The FBA held their convention in Sin City from October 4 - October 7.  Attendees not only enjoyed their stay at the MGM Grand, but earned important CLE credits, and had a chance to do some sight seeing as well.

2009 Legislative Reception
The Fairfax Bar Association, along with the Arlington County Medical Society, the Medical Society of Northern Virginia, the Women Attorneys Association, Northern Virginia Chapter, the Alexandria Bar Association, and the Arlington County Bar Association  hosted the 2009 Legislative Reception at the Fairview Park Marriott on September 21, 2009.
 
Stitt Cup 2009
The Young Lawyers Section has been hosting Lawyerpalooza since 1995.  The event was renamed in 2008 to the Stitt Cup in 2008 in memory of Judge Stitt.
 
Mock Trial: Little Miss Muffet v. the Spider
Volunteers, along with the Fairfax Law Foundation, put together a mock trial so students can have a better understanding of how our judicial system works.
